Dutch 3Times Continues the Distant Lover Saga With Upcoming Release Distant Lover 5: Under the Covers

Independent artist Dutch 3Times is preparing to unveil the next chapter of his ambitious musical journey with the release of Distant Lover 5: Under the Covers, arriving on June 9, 2026. As the fifth installment in his ongoing Distant Lover Saga, the project continues the deeply personal story that has become a defining part of his artistic identity, exploring the complicated emotions that exist between love, desire, vulnerability, and heartbreak.

Over the last several years, Dutch 3Times has carefully built the Distant Lover Saga into a six-part musical narrative. Beginning with Distant Lover in 2021, the series expanded with Distant Lover 2: This Is Lust (2025), Distant Lover 3: This Is Heartbreak (2025), and Distant Lover 4: Love Lust & Heartbreak (2026). Each release serves as a chapter in a larger story, allowing listeners to follow the emotional highs and lows of romantic relationships through his unique blend of R&B and hip-hop.

Now, with Distant Lover 5, Dutch 3Times shifts the focus toward a more intimate and reflective stage of the journey. The project explores the quiet moments that often define relationships—the conversations left unsaid, the emotional walls slowly coming down, and the lingering feelings that remain long after the excitement fades. Rather than relying on dramatic twists, Under the Covers embraces a slow-burning approach, highlighting the depth and complexity of genuine human connection.

Based between the Carolinas and Detroit, Dutch 3Times has developed a reputation for creating music that feels cinematic yet relatable. His songwriting often draws from real-life experiences, allowing listeners to connect with themes of romance, longing, conflict, and personal growth. This honest storytelling has become the foundation of the Distant Lover series and continues to resonate with audiences looking for music that speaks to real emotions.

The upcoming release follows the success of Distant Lover 4: Love Lust & Heartbreak, which featured standout tracks such as “You Was Mine” and “No Stress.” Those songs showcased Dutch 3Times’ ability to blend heartfelt lyrics with smooth melodies, further expanding the emotional landscape of the saga. With Under the Covers, he promises to take listeners even deeper into the story.

“The Distant Lover Saga has always been about capturing every layer of love and relationships,” Dutch 3Times shares. “Distant Lover 5: Under the Covers is about understanding, vulnerability, and those moments when emotions become impossible to hide. It’s one of the most personal chapters I’ve created so far.”

As anticipation builds for the June 9 release, fans can already pre-save Distant Lover 5: Under the Covers and prepare for the next chapter in a story that continues to evolve with every project. With only one installment remaining after this release, the saga is moving closer to its conclusion, making Under the Covers a pivotal moment in the larger narrative.

The Distant Lover Saga is available on major streaming platforms worldwide.

Interview with Rafi Barides

Q. Your essay “Why I Sing Even Though I Was Told I Never Should” is deeply personal. What finally gave you the courage to stop hiding behind production and step fully into your own voice?

I think I just ran out of places to hide. I grew up in a loud Orthodox household where there was always structure, always certainty, always a right way to do things. Music was something I loved, but singing felt exposed in a way I wasn’t ready for. Producing let me stay in control. At some point that control started to feel like avoidance. I realized that if I kept polishing everything around my voice, I’d never actually say anything. So it wasn’t courage as much as fatigue. I wanted to tell the truth more than I wanted to sound impressive.

Q. For years, your ears were ahead of your vocal ability, which created frustration and self-doubt. How did learning to live with that gap change the way you approach music and creativity?

It forced me to accept uncertainty as part of the process. I’m very aware of what something should sound like, and for a long time that made everything feel like a failure in real time.

Eventually I learned that the gap wasn’t a flaw, it was information. It taught me patience and humility, which are not things I naturally excel at. Once I stopped trying to close the gap as fast as possible, the music got more human. Less optimized, more alive.

Q. You’ve worked extensively as a producer and developed an unusually acute sensitivity to pitch. How has that technical knowledge both helped and challenged you as a singer?

It’s a double-edged sword. On a good day, it gives me clarity and intention. On a bad day, it turns into surveillance. I hear everything. Sometimes too much. Singing while constantly monitoring yourself is exhausting. I had to learn when to turn the producer's brain off and let the singer makes a mess. The irony is that the performances I like most now are usually the ones that would’ve made the old me uncomfortable.

Q. You describe your vocal journey as moving from control to emotional truth. When did you first realize that perfection wasn’t the goal anymore—honestly was?

When I noticed that the “perfect” takes didn’t move me. They were clean, impressive, and empty. The takes that stayed with me had cracks in them. Breath, strain, hesitation. I grew up in a world that prized certainty and correctness, and I carried that into my music. Letting go of perfection felt almost rebellious. Honesty turned out to be more interesting anyway.

Q. Storm Before the Storm was written during what you describe as the most painful year of your life. How did heartbreak, identity struggles, and physical trauma shape the emotional core of this album?

That year stripped a lot of illusions away. About relationships, about belonging, about who I thought I was allowed to be. I’d spent a long time believing that meaning was something you eventually arrive at if you make the right choices. Instead, everything kind of fell apart at once.

The album lives in that in-between space, when you don’t know what comes next but you know you can’t go back. It’s not a record about resolution. It’s about staying present while things are still unresolved.

Q. Your voice carries a natural grit and an unconventional vibrato that you’ve learned to embrace. What did it take to stop seeing these qualities as flaws and start seeing them as part of your identity?

Time, mostly. And hearing myself enough times to realize that erasing those things would erase me. I used to treat my voice like a problem to be solved. Now I think of it more like an accent. It tells a story. I grew up singing in group settings where blending mattered more than standing out. Learning to keep what makes my voice slightly inconvenient was a big shift.

Q. Many of your songs emerged organically from lived experience rather than deliberate writing sessions. How do you recognize when a moment in life is asking to become a song?

It’s usually when I can’t stop thinking about it but also can’t explain it to anyone. Songs show up when language fails. I don’t sit down and say, “I’m going to write about this now.” It’s more like something keeps tapping me on the shoulder until I give it a place to land. Writing becomes a way of listening.

Q. You touch on themes of rejection—from communities, relationships, and even yourself. How has music helped you process feeling “unwanted,” and what do you hope listeners hear in that vulnerability?

Music gave me a place where I didn’t have to audition. Growing up in a big family and a tight community, belonging always felt conditional. When I felt unwanted, I learned to perform instead. These songs are the opposite of that. I hope listeners hear permission. Not to fix themselves, but to sit with the feeling without rushing past it.

Q. You’ve said that singing your own songs in someone else’s voice would feel like a lie. What does artistic ownership mean to you at this stage of your career?

Ownership isn’t about ego for me. It’s about responsibility. These songs came from very specific moments in my life, shaped by my background, my doubts, my contradictions. Handing them off would flatten them. Especially now, with AI and automation reshaping music so quickly, showing up as a human voice feels important. Even if it’s imperfect.

Q. For readers and musicians who love music but hate their own voices, what would you say now—after years of doubt, discipline, and persistence—to encourage them to keep singing anyway?

Your voice isn’t the obstacle. Your expectations are. I spent years waiting to sound like someone else before allowing myself to sing. That day never came. What did come was a quieter confidence, built from repetition and honesty. If you’re willing to sound bad for a while, you might eventually sound like yourself. And that’s the only voice that actually matters.

Interview with DARIA

DARIA is the author of the original Earth Day song that is heard and sung around the world. This year the song turns 20 years old so Daria collaborated with other artists from around the globe to create EARTH DAY AROUND THE WORLD.

We are sharing interesting interview with talented DARIA, she talks about EARTH DAY AROUND THE WORLD.

Q: How would you describe yourself in one word?

peace-maker

I grew up under difficult situations and witnessed so much trouble and violence in the world.  I kept asking… does it have to be this way? As I’ve developed as an artist I’ve found that so many others are asking the same question and using their creativity to build a better future for us all.

Q: Why do you feel this is the ideal profession for you?

Creating world music means I am affirming the importance and beauty of each and every culture, language and musical style. No one above anyone else. And my career allows me to speak my truth and hopefully make a difference with my words, actions and songs.

Q: What's the reason behind writing 'Earth Day Around the world'?

Decades ago I performed at a school in the United States.  The teachers were awesome and focused our whole workshop on how kids can make a diffference in the world with their choices. Then they asked that I come up with a song that all 300 students could sing the next day. So I took a familiar melody and all the comments I heard during that day and molded them into the original Earth Day song. One thing that was empowering about this song was that kids recognized their ideas in the lyrics to the song and it meant so much more to them that way!

Q: What's the response you got from your fans about your Earth Day song?

They say that the songs makes them feel happy and motivates them to take steps to make a difference for our Earth. It is 100% true that a change in attitude and action will result in a meaningful difference for the future of our planet.

Q: As an Author, what's your favorite song?

I really love the bonus track - Whole New World by Kenyan artist, Ness.  The song has an awesome Afrobeat feel and blends the idea of new seeds sprouting and gaining confidence with the idea that little by little we are growing a better future.

Q: Where do you see yourself in three years from now, or where would you like to be?

Making more music! I’ve been excited about several projects I’ve developed and give away for free that help immigrants from Ukraine and Latin American learn English through music. I also want to keep collaborating with artists that use their mother tongues finding ways to encourage them not to leave their language and heritage behind.

Q: Can you please tell us about the most successful project you have worked on.

Although I’ve been nominated for a Grammy and won multiple Parent’s Choice and Children’s music awards, there is one project that really stands out to me. During the pandemic most teachers seemed to be pulling their hair out. Kids were stuck at home and Zoom school was tough for everyone so I volunterred with classrooms around the world to do free songwriting workshops with their kids.

One teacher in Australia paired me with kids that had just survived a harrowing journey to immigrate to that country.  All the kids could talk about was how much they appreciated the doctors and nurses that had saved their lives. Their phrases and descriptions were woven into the song “Thanks To The Doctors And Nurses”.  When that song was released, it attracted a lot of positive media attention and won a Global Music Award in the Children’s music category.

Q: What is your dream project?

Honestly, EARTH DAY AROUND THE WORLD is my dream project.  It involved connecting with artist who I love and respect and working together to bring new songs to life. That is just so cool! Especially because we are hearing that this music is inspiring kids and families and that it makes a difference to them to feel heard and represented in the Earth Day and ecology movement.

Q: What are some things that you love?

In addition to music and languages, I love my little farm which sits on a mountaintop in Pennsylvania (USA). This is where I live with my family, a boatload of animals and some adorable rescue sheep.

Interview with Aaron Parker | ACTHEKiDFROMSPACE

ACTHEKiDFROMSPACE is a self taught Montreal, Canada based artist & sound engineer. Taking influences from many genres and artists, AC has been able to develop his own sound that stretches the boundaries of genre based music. His goal is to make smooth midnight songs that can make people feel the memories and feelings that he lived while creating them.

Here we are sharing interesting interview with this talented Canada based Artist & expert Sound engineer, Aaron Parker, he talks about his latest single 'Hell of a Night' & his goals and journey.

Q. Can you tell us about your journey as a self-taught artist and sound engineer? What inspired you to pursue music and develop your skills in this field?

Hi, thanks for taking the time to have me. My music journey started at a very young age. Since I was young, I’ve always loved multiple genres of music and began writing at around 12 years old. However, at this age I was very preoccupied with my studies and pursuing a football career, so I didn’t have the time to take music seriously. Music was still always there whether I was training in the gym, studying or even just with friends. After my studies I finally decided to take my music seriously and chase that passion at full stride. This is when I saved up to build a professional studio and get the right equipment to record at a high level of quality. I was fortunate enough to have a few mentors who helped me learn how to sound engineer my own music and it all kind of took off from there.

Q. Montreal, Canada has a vibrant music scene. How has your hometown influenced your music and artistic style?

I wouldn’t necessarily say that my music has been influenced by the city very much. The French music scene is in high demand here and that’s not something I listen to. I’d definitely say my music has benefited more from my open mindedness to numerous genres & my attention to details.

Q. Your music seems to blend various genres and influences. Can you share some of the specific artists or genres that have had the most significant impact on shaping your sound?

Yes, it definitely does blend many genres. As I said, from a young age I was exposed to so many genres from trap to afro beats to even rock. I always had a tough time sticking to one specific genre because I really love melody and I truly believe I’m capable of succeeding in many genres. I don’t like to put myself in a box. I’d much prefer to explore just how far I can take my music, while still always making sure to maintain that “AC” sound. As for artists, there are far too many to name but if I had to name a few it would be guys like Aftertheparty, 6lack, Meek Mill, Sting and so many more. As you can tell, those artists range in numerous genres, clearly showing how my influences came from all over the place.

Q. Your goal is to create "smooth midnight songs" that evoke memories and emotions. How do you go about capturing these feelings while producing your music?

Honestly, it’s pretty easy for me. These feelings are captured from real emotions and memories. I want to make sure my audience feels a certain vibe from every individual song, so I make sure to talk about real events that have happened or bring real emotions to the song. If I can’t bring real emotions and feelings to the music, then how can I expect my audience to feel these feelings while listening.

Q. Collaborations are common in the music industry. Are there any artists or producers you'd love to collaborate with in the future, and why?

There are many other artists I’d love to collaborate with in the future. Other than my idols who have already made it big, its important for me to develop friendship with other artists before I can work with them. I feel that the audience can feel when two artists connect well on a song and when the artists just do it without building a connection first. Like I said before, its important for everything about my music to be real. So, if I’m going to collaborate with another artist, I’d much prefer to connect with them on a personal level first. That way it will be easier for us to relate to aspects of our life and translate them to the music.

Q. As an independent artist, what are some of the challenges you've faced in the music industry, and how have you overcome them?

As an independent artist, the biggest challenge is getting your music heard and doing all the marketing work yourself. Music is the easy part. To market properly it takes lots of time, energy, and money to get out there. I sometimes find myself spending more than half of my paycheck at work on my music marketing just because I believe in myself. I’m willing to struggle now in order to live a better life later. Its tough to spend hours daily on researching contacts for playlist curators, radio stations, bloggers, etc., then having to send hundreds of emails per day just to get a chance to get placements and have the music heard by a wider audience. Although its tough, it does pay off, so it makes it all worth it.

Q. In your opinion, how important is it for artists to express their personal experiences and emotions through their music?

I truly believe its one of the most important aspects of making music. Whether it’s the lyrics or overall ambience of the song, both are just as important. Usually as a listener most people want to listen to artists that they can relate to the most. At least that’s how it is for me.

Q. As a sound engineer, how do you ensure that your music translates well across different platforms and devices while maintaining its intended impact?

When it comes down to mix and mastering a song, usually I’ll make sure my mixes sound good on numerous speakers. I have different reference speakers that I use but I’ll also listen to the mix on my phone speakers, in the car and in different size rooms to ensure I get the most out of my mix. With technological advances, there are even programs that will simulate different speakers so that you can make adjustments without having to physically listen on those different devices. However, in my opinion its better to actually listen on different devices as opposed to trusting a software to make the decisions for you. Every sound engineer has a different ear, so mixes are always relative to the person mixing and mastering.

Q. Finally, what exciting projects do you have in the pipeline for the future?

My vault is filled with hundreds of songs. Some will drops eventually and some will never see the light of day. I have many exciting projects coming soon. Mostly singles, but I’m always working on a bigger project as I work through singles. I’m excited for what the future brings and I’m hopeful I can touch the world of listeners on a global scale. For now, I just dropped my latest singleHell of a Nightalongside my brother from Nigeria named Pupa Tee and a good friend of mine named Noura. Make sure to check it out.

Interview with Big Condo Records

Q: How would you describe your record label in one word?

Innovative, ‘’We The Label’’.

Q: Why do you feel this is the ideal Industry for you?

We Love music and the artist’s, we are heavily artist focused, our recording contracts are artist focused and we love to promote music. We love our artists getting recognition with worldwide radio plays in Australia to Chicago and we bask in the creative process.

Q: Our audience wants to know more about your record label.

Big Condo Records is an independent record label based in Liverpool, established in 2015. The label started with hip-hop and soul artists, then moved into R & B, acoustic, pop music and indie. We currently specialise in all genres. We love music and the artists. Big Condo Records has put on over 500 shows in the northwest and the UK, also touring regularly and putting on some major headlines by releasing music and supporting artists and bands.

Big Condo Records has thrived to be as big as Atlantic Records and has seen dramatic growth over the past 8 years. As Big Condo continues to break records and develop every year, we can't wait to see what Big Condo has to bring in 10 years. We are a label unlike other’s we are heavily focused in the development of the artists and bands, and we are more hands on than most labels.

Q.What does Big Condo Mean to the record Label ?

Big Condo means a lot to us, condo’s are small apartment complexes and a lot of them have shared complex living, so there will be multiple people sharing or living in the facilities.

We use this with the music as we are a multi genre music label so shared complex music.

The Big stands for where the label will be in a 100 years and it stands for the projects we develop and the multiple feathers in our bow as we do a lot of music practices.

So, when you put the two together you got Big Condo and we are a recording company, so Big Condo Records. It’s crazy but that name took 3 years to develop.

Q: Your favorite artist?

Haha, everyone always asks this, it’s becoming a funny one. We don’t have a favourite at the label, all our artists are in their own lane and are at different stages of their career.

‘’Our favourite artist is one that works hard and likes to promote 😉.

Q: Where do you see yourself in three years from now, or where would you like to be?

We have had massive growth over the past 8 years it’s been phenomenal to be honest, another 3 years we can see the roster bustling with the best, loads of awards coming in and lots of
