Interview with DARIA

DARIA is the author of the original Earth Day song that is heard and sung around the world. This year the song turns 20 years old so Daria collaborated with other artists from around the globe to create EARTH DAY AROUND THE WORLD.

We are sharing interesting interview with talented DARIA, she talks about EARTH DAY AROUND THE WORLD.

Q: How would you describe yourself in one word?

peace-maker

I grew up under difficult situations and witnessed so much trouble and violence in the world.  I kept asking… does it have to be this way? As I’ve developed as an artist I’ve found that so many others are asking the same question and using their creativity to build a better future for us all.

Q: Why do you feel this is the ideal profession for you?

Creating world music means I am affirming the importance and beauty of each and every culture, language and musical style. No one above anyone else. And my career allows me to speak my truth and hopefully make a difference with my words, actions and songs.

Q: What's the reason behind writing 'Earth Day Around the world'?

Decades ago I performed at a school in the United States.  The teachers were awesome and focused our whole workshop on how kids can make a diffference in the world with their choices. Then they asked that I come up with a song that all 300 students could sing the next day. So I took a familiar melody and all the comments I heard during that day and molded them into the original Earth Day song. One thing that was empowering about this song was that kids recognized their ideas in the lyrics to the song and it meant so much more to them that way!

Q: What's the response you got from your fans about your Earth Day song?

They say that the songs makes them feel happy and motivates them to take steps to make a difference for our Earth. It is 100% true that a change in attitude and action will result in a meaningful difference for the future of our planet.

Q: As an Author, what's your favorite song?

I really love the bonus track - Whole New World by Kenyan artist, Ness.  The song has an awesome Afrobeat feel and blends the idea of new seeds sprouting and gaining confidence with the idea that little by little we are growing a better future.

Q: Where do you see yourself in three years from now, or where would you like to be?

Making more music! I’ve been excited about several projects I’ve developed and give away for free that help immigrants from Ukraine and Latin American learn English through music. I also want to keep collaborating with artists that use their mother tongues finding ways to encourage them not to leave their language and heritage behind.

Q: Can you please tell us about the most successful project you have worked on.

Although I’ve been nominated for a Grammy and won multiple Parent’s Choice and Children’s music awards, there is one project that really stands out to me. During the pandemic most teachers seemed to be pulling their hair out. Kids were stuck at home and Zoom school was tough for everyone so I volunterred with classrooms around the world to do free songwriting workshops with their kids.

One teacher in Australia paired me with kids that had just survived a harrowing journey to immigrate to that country.  All the kids could talk about was how much they appreciated the doctors and nurses that had saved their lives. Their phrases and descriptions were woven into the song “Thanks To The Doctors And Nurses”.  When that song was released, it attracted a lot of positive media attention and won a Global Music Award in the Children’s music category.

Q: What is your dream project?

Honestly, EARTH DAY AROUND THE WORLD is my dream project.  It involved connecting with artist who I love and respect and working together to bring new songs to life. That is just so cool! Especially because we are hearing that this music is inspiring kids and families and that it makes a difference to them to feel heard and represented in the Earth Day and ecology movement.

Q: What are some things that you love?

In addition to music and languages, I love my little farm which sits on a mountaintop in Pennsylvania (USA). This is where I live with my family, a boatload of animals and some adorable rescue sheep.

Q: How's your fans can get updates about your latest releases? Your website or social media links?

Interview with Aaron Parker | ACTHEKiDFROMSPACE

ACTHEKiDFROMSPACE is a self taught Montreal, Canada based artist & sound engineer. Taking influences from many genres and artists, AC has been able to develop his own sound that stretches the boundaries of genre based music. His goal is to make smooth midnight songs that can make people feel the memories and feelings that he lived while creating them.

Here we are sharing interesting interview with this talented Canada based Artist & expert Sound engineer, Aaron Parker, he talks about his latest single 'Hell of a Night' & his goals and journey.

Q. Can you tell us about your journey as a self-taught artist and sound engineer? What inspired you to pursue music and develop your skills in this field?

Hi, thanks for taking the time to have me. My music journey started at a very young age. Since I was young, I’ve always loved multiple genres of music and began writing at around 12 years old. However, at this age I was very preoccupied with my studies and pursuing a football career, so I didn’t have the time to take music seriously. Music was still always there whether I was training in the gym, studying or even just with friends. After my studies I finally decided to take my music seriously and chase that passion at full stride. This is when I saved up to build a professional studio and get the right equipment to record at a high level of quality. I was fortunate enough to have a few mentors who helped me learn how to sound engineer my own music and it all kind of took off from there.

Q. Montreal, Canada has a vibrant music scene. How has your hometown influenced your music and artistic style?

I wouldn’t necessarily say that my music has been influenced by the city very much. The French music scene is in high demand here and that’s not something I listen to. I’d definitely say my music has benefited more from my open mindedness to numerous genres & my attention to details.

Q. Your music seems to blend various genres and influences. Can you share some of the specific artists or genres that have had the most significant impact on shaping your sound?

Yes, it definitely does blend many genres. As I said, from a young age I was exposed to so many genres from trap to afro beats to even rock. I always had a tough time sticking to one specific genre because I really love melody and I truly believe I’m capable of succeeding in many genres. I don’t like to put myself in a box. I’d much prefer to explore just how far I can take my music, while still always making sure to maintain that “AC” sound. As for artists, there are far too many to name but if I had to name a few it would be guys like Aftertheparty, 6lack, Meek Mill, Sting and so many more. As you can tell, those artists range in numerous genres, clearly showing how my influences came from all over the place.

Q. Your goal is to create "smooth midnight songs" that evoke memories and emotions. How do you go about capturing these feelings while producing your music?

Honestly, it’s pretty easy for me. These feelings are captured from real emotions and memories. I want to make sure my audience feels a certain vibe from every individual song, so I make sure to talk about real events that have happened or bring real emotions to the song. If I can’t bring real emotions and feelings to the music, then how can I expect my audience to feel these feelings while listening.

Q. Collaborations are common in the music industry. Are there any artists or producers you'd love to collaborate with in the future, and why?

There are many other artists I’d love to collaborate with in the future. Other than my idols who have already made it big, its important for me to develop friendship with other artists before I can work with them. I feel that the audience can feel when two artists connect well on a song and when the artists just do it without building a connection first. Like I said before, its important for everything about my music to be real. So, if I’m going to collaborate with another artist, I’d much prefer to connect with them on a personal level first. That way it will be easier for us to relate to aspects of our life and translate them to the music.

Q. As an independent artist, what are some of the challenges you've faced in the music industry, and how have you overcome them?

As an independent artist, the biggest challenge is getting your music heard and doing all the marketing work yourself. Music is the easy part. To market properly it takes lots of time, energy, and money to get out there. I sometimes find myself spending more than half of my paycheck at work on my music marketing just because I believe in myself. I’m willing to struggle now in order to live a better life later. Its tough to spend hours daily on researching contacts for playlist curators, radio stations, bloggers, etc., then having to send hundreds of emails per day just to get a chance to get placements and have the music heard by a wider audience. Although its tough, it does pay off, so it makes it all worth it.

Q. In your opinion, how important is it for artists to express their personal experiences and emotions through their music?

I truly believe its one of the most important aspects of making music. Whether it’s the lyrics or overall ambience of the song, both are just as important. Usually as a listener most people want to listen to artists that they can relate to the most. At least that’s how it is for me.

Q. As a sound engineer, how do you ensure that your music translates well across different platforms and devices while maintaining its intended impact?

When it comes down to mix and mastering a song, usually I’ll make sure my mixes sound good on numerous speakers. I have different reference speakers that I use but I’ll also listen to the mix on my phone speakers, in the car and in different size rooms to ensure I get the most out of my mix. With technological advances, there are even programs that will simulate different speakers so that you can make adjustments without having to physically listen on those different devices. However, in my opinion its better to actually listen on different devices as opposed to trusting a software to make the decisions for you. Every sound engineer has a different ear, so mixes are always relative to the person mixing and mastering.

Q. Finally, what exciting projects do you have in the pipeline for the future?

My vault is filled with hundreds of songs. Some will drops eventually and some will never see the light of day. I have many exciting projects coming soon. Mostly singles, but I’m always working on a bigger project as I work through singles. I’m excited for what the future brings and I’m hopeful I can touch the world of listeners on a global scale. For now, I just dropped my latest singleHell of a Nightalongside my brother from Nigeria named Pupa Tee and a good friend of mine named Noura. Make sure to check it out.

Interview with Big Condo Records

Q: How would you describe your record label in one word?

Innovative, ‘’We The Label’’.

Q: Why do you feel this is the ideal Industry for you?

We Love music and the artist’s, we are heavily artist focused, our recording contracts are artist focused and we love to promote music. We love our artists getting recognition with worldwide radio plays in Australia to Chicago and we bask in the creative process.

Q: Our audience wants to know more about your record label.

Big Condo Records is an independent record label based in Liverpool, established in 2015. The label started with hip-hop and soul artists, then moved into R & B, acoustic, pop music and indie. We currently specialise in all genres. We love music and the artists. Big Condo Records has put on over 500 shows in the northwest and the UK, also touring regularly and putting on some major headlines by releasing music and supporting artists and bands.

Big Condo Records has thrived to be as big as Atlantic Records and has seen dramatic growth over the past 8 years. As Big Condo continues to break records and develop every year, we can't wait to see what Big Condo has to bring in 10 years. We are a label unlike other’s we are heavily focused in the development of the artists and bands, and we are more hands on than most labels.

Q.What does Big Condo Mean to the record Label ?

Big Condo means a lot to us, condo’s are small apartment complexes and a lot of them have shared complex living, so there will be multiple people sharing or living in the facilities.

We use this with the music as we are a multi genre music label so shared complex music.

The Big stands for where the label will be in a 100 years and it stands for the projects we develop and the multiple feathers in our bow as we do a lot of music practices.

So, when you put the two together you got Big Condo and we are a recording company, so Big Condo Records. It’s crazy but that name took 3 years to develop.

Q: Your favorite artist?

Haha, everyone always asks this, it’s becoming a funny one. We don’t have a favourite at the label, all our artists are in their own lane and are at different stages of their career.

‘’Our favourite artist is one that works hard and likes to promote 😉.

Q: Where do you see yourself in three years from now, or where would you like to be?

We have had massive growth over the past 8 years it’s been phenomenal to be honest, another 3 years we can see the roster bustling with the best, loads of awards coming in and lots of

Interview with Zigg Theartist

Q: How would you describe yourself in one word?

I would describe myself as a Swiss Army knife, so in one word it would be versatile, I pride myself on not having one specific sound and I think that’s what separates me from a lot of other artist, especially in my city. It feels good to stand out.

Q: Why do you feel this is the ideal profession for you?

Because I love it, I love music, I love creating music, I love listening to music. It’s simple as that to be honest, I feel like I have what it takes to be as big as I want to be. I feel like I got the IT factor. It took me some time to get there but my confidence level is through the roof, especially now.

Q: Our audience wants to know more about your upcoming new album?

My next album is set to be released February 10th, and it’s titled 23 The Goat Year. The motivation and inspiration behind this album is to show the audience that yes I sing a lot but I can RAP my ass off, it’s to show the audience that my beat making/producing is top tier as well. I worked on extremely hard on this album, I want to say for a year I recorded and made beats without releasing anything . After my car accident I was sidelined for some time, and I wanted to prove to myself that I still got it, even through the set back. So I titled it 23 The Goat Year because we are in the year 2023 and I’m striving to be one of the GOATS, with every bar and every beat meaning so much to me.

Q: What's the response you expect from your fans about "23 The Goat Year"?

Honestly, I’m not sure, I’ve been off the scene for a few months but popping back out periodically showed me that people really love me and support me and noticed my absence, so I hope my fans really appreciate this body of work, I think they’re going to love the lyrics of each song because every song is relatable in some way to someone.

Q: Your favorite artists?

My favorite artist will always be Lil Wayne, Jay Z, & Biggie but I like a lot of artist now, Lil baby is dope, I like Durk a little too, but I’ve been really just listening to myself lately but I still respect all artist in the game today.

Q: Where do you see yourself in three years from now, or where would you like to be?

I see myself on tour, throwing my own shows, and just comfortably living off of my craft. A lot of people want to be major super stars, not saying I wouldn’t want that but my focus is to maintain a life with doing what I love, I also have my movie “2 Toxic” coming out soon so I hope to be acting a lot in the near future, especially after the film is released. That’s one of my major things I have going on behind the scenes.

Q: Can you please tell us about the most successful project you have worked on.

My most successful project was my album “Toxic”. That album is approaching close to 300k streams which is huge for me, we also put a entire film behind this album bringing each song to life visually. You’ll see the film in theaters and streaming sites soon. I’ve won awards from this album as well.  Just overall it put me in a good position to move forward and progress through my journey to the top and I don’t expect anything to slow down, especially when the movie drops.

Q: What is your dream project?

My dream project is to work on a entire body of work with a film attached to it, kind of like what 50 cent did. I’m actually working on it now but it’s hard work for sure. I just think a lot is possible especially when you put your all into it. I’ve also spoke it into existence. So I mean what I’m working on now is my dream project, time will tell.

Q: What are some things that you love?

Number 1 I love my son, my family, and my friends outside of music that is my go to place for peace, I love traveling performing and creating on a professional level, and lastly I love myself, I went through a depressed stage in my life and I got back to loving me.

Q: How's people can get updates about your record label? Your website or social media links?

I regularly update my site and socials with music show dates and visual content, so stay up to date by visiting my website and my socials .

Interview with Ariana Celaeno

Q: How would you describe yourself in one word?

Artistic.

Q: Why do you feel this is the ideal profession for you?

I like to help people. I remember when I used to be just a “listener”. I used to listen to songs when I felt sad, happy, or needed to feel powerful. I realized, that I really want to be listened, instead. Making songs made feel like I am not only being listened to, but also being heard. Understood. And accepted. The best feeling - however, is to actually make people feel understood through my lyrics as well. It makes me feel like that I have the ability to hug them when they need it, to give them strength when they don’t feel like that they have it.

Q: Your upcoming project?

My upcoming project is actually very exciting. It’s called “BED BUGS”, and I am releasing it very soon. It’s a song about overthinking and anxiety. I am diagnosed with Borderline Personality disorder, so that makes me very paranoid when it comes to love/being in love. That’s exactly what the song is about. It’s going to be a new style and direction I am introducing into my music career, which is “EDM”. Very excited for the release!

Q: What's the response you got from people when you started your career and uploaded your first song 'why did you lie'?

I remember some people liked it, and some people don’t. Many people thought I had the potential, and I should keep going. Many times I wanted to quit, but I am so glad that I didn’t. Shoutout to those people who supported me ever since the start.

Q: You also write songs, what's your favorite song?

I don’t think I have a favorite song. It depends on my mood on what I like, and mainly the memories it gives me. I really like Frank Ocean. Especially, because I started listening to it when I met my boyfriend, Teran North, who’s also a musician.

Q: Where do you see yourself in three years from now, or where would you like to be?

I would like to move to America. That’s where music is born, and that makes me feel like I have to go there. So hopefully, I will be there. I would like to reach more people with my music, and go on tours.

Q: Can you please tell us about the most successful project you have worked on.

One of them is actually going viral as we speak, it’s called “run run run”. It was released about 3 weeks ago, and it already reached Spotify’s New music Friday official playlist, and it got over 100k streams. This was actually a project I was hired for, since my full time job is being a singer/songwriter. He wanted me to write a lyrics based on a story he told me about. So, I wrote the lyrics, melody and recorded my vocals. Same happened to a song called “Cut Me Again” I am featured on. That song got into two netflix shows, and it reaches almost 1 million streams on Spotify.

Q: What is your dream project?

My dream project would be a feature with Mac Miller, but unfortunately he’s not around anymore. I’d definitely like to work with someone like Tobi Lou or Frank Ocean.

Q: What are some things that you love?

I like the color purple, I like analogies, I like poetry. I like food, I love my cat Cleo, I love my fans and people who’ve been there with me ever since the start. My gratitude will always stand for those people who helped me form me into the person I am today

Q: How's your fans can get updates about your latest releases? Your website or social media links?

Q: What's the response you expect from your fans about "Questions"?

I don’t expect any certain response. Everyone is different and connect with art in their own way. I would guess that those with more a poetic background or appeal may be intrigued by the wordplay and double entendres used through the song. Those who are more into the sound and musicality may like how the flow and cadence meshes with the beat.

Q: Your favorite artists?

I have many artists I listen to from all genres. I’m surrounded by and come into contact with so many great underground artist being on the move. I already started at the bottom ,it’s no where  to go but up from there. I’m blessed and as long I remain discipline and focus I’ll be able to keep moving forward.

Q: Can you please tell us about the most successful project you have worked on.

I’ve gotten different successes out of each project, that’s a hard question numbers wise it would have to be Chapter 1 : Gift which is where the song Questions is from.

Interview with New Rules Duo | Multi Award Winning International Duo!

Q: How would you describe yourself in one word?

Unique!

Q: Why do you feel this is the ideal profession for you?

Music is in our blood! We couldn’t imagine a day without music in it. We are both very passionate about what we do and work extremely hard to make each and every gig/event as unforgettable as the next. We get to see and travel to some amazing places and meet wonderful people too. During the summer season we perform mainly at weddings and so its very important to us to build lasting relationships. Being a musician isn’t just about singing or playing an instrument. It is also how you connect with your audience too.
As a duo, we are very fortunate to be best friends first and foremost. Having a great friendship is vital when performing and can be seen and felt by all that come to watch our shows.

Q: Your latest upcoming Ep?

Our latest EP is our cover album called ‘Road to Rendition’. All 12 tracks are completely unique and are our ‘rendition’ of the songs. All the songs were also recorded from scratch, including all the instruments, by us in Dom’s recording studio in Paphos Cyprus. It took a lot of hard work, blood, sweat and tears but we are very happy with the finished product!

Q: What's the response you expect from your fans about your Ep?

We released ‘Road to Rendition’ on the 1st November 2022 and it has already had thousands of views on all social media platforms and growing! We were also interviewed on a local radio station regarding our album which was a great honour. After our recent 5 week tour in the USA, where we also promoted our album, we have seen our numbers grow even more.

Q: Your favorite song?

It’s very hard to pick just one from our EP because they are all amazing!! But if we had to choose one I guess that would be ‘Sweet Child o Mine’. This song has great meaning to us. At the start of the song we added the sound of an airplane and this symbolises our journey to the US for our tour. Which was a very exciting time. It also symbolises the many more tours, destinations and opportunities to come.

Q: Where do you see yourself in three years from now, or where would you like to be?

After our huge success in the US we have already been booked to return again this year and we are going to branch out into other states, including Las Vegas! So look out Vegas, we are coming! We are also in discussions with regards to other destinations worldwide which we will be announcing once they are all confirmed. But the future looks great for us and we are feeling extremely blessed.

Q: Can you please tell us about the most successful project you have worked on.

As we mentioned above, we were absolutely delighted to be able to go on a 5 week tour in the USA. After a lot of planning, we were booked to perform at many venues across Illinois and the neighbouring states. So with our passion and love for what we do we travelled from Sunny Cyprus to the land of dreams! Each venue was fully booked and we received amazing comments and compliments after each and every performance. Performing in the US is like nowhere else! It really was a dream come true! We are very excited to return again this year.

Q: What is your dream project?

Whilst in Chicago we had the opportunity to see many live performances. Such as Joe Bonamassa and Steve Vai! They left us in awe. A huge dream for us is to perform in a large theatre, like the Chicago theatre. ‘A night with New Rules’! A ticketed event in such a breath-taking location would feel amazing.
We do a lot to raise money for charities and do what we can to help those in need. This would also be a dream for us. To be big enough to be able to give large amounts of money to charities that could really make a difference. Life is about helping others and to be in a position to be able to do that would mean a great deal. Celia’s brother suffered many years with MS and unfortunately passed away a couple of years ago and so it is very personal to us to help where we can.

Q: What are some things that you love?

Family. Our families mean everything to us. Unfortunately our families live all over the world and so we don’t get to see them very often. A great bonus about travelling to the US was the chance to see Doms family over there too. Celia has 2 daughters which mean the world to her and everything she does is for her children. Being away from family is often hard but luckily we have a great friendship which helps us through.
